Steam Dynamo - what to do you use it for?

What use is the steam dynamo (other than, perhaps, powering steam-driven vehicles)?  Does anyone use them, and if so, to power what?

I'm tempted to add a pair of steam fists to one of my miniatures, so I'll need a steam dynamo then

Walkers, ornithopters, small dirigibles, exo-skeletons, automata etc.

So when you build a weird science device not already listed, you should include the cost of the steam dynamo ?

Sometimes... but we also consider how else it could be powered. Batteries, clockwork generator, springs, chemical battery etc.
