By the 1930s, much of Europe was criss-crossed with a wide array of telegraph and telephone overhead wires.Usually located alongside roads and rails, often at the edges of cultivated fields, communication line poles quickly became rocky and overgrown. As such, they make great linear obstacles that provide useful concealment to infantry and AFVs alike.

In an attempt to add more Western European terrain, I went back and re-did the French Chateau I'd painted back in August. I gave it a larger base of 2mm MDF and built it up with successive layers. I then smoothed everything out some spackle and glue mixture. I then added stucco walls made from basswood strips. The gate is large basswood rod cut to size, with shingles made from thin cardboard, and gate doors from an HO scale factory doors. I used Milliput to sculpt a longer driveway and walkway leading to a Faller HO scale greenhouse.

Very nice. The greenhouse is certainly effective.
