Here's part two of our last Napoleonic game, part one can be found here:
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=78413.0The French send forward the Saxon division directly into the Russian grand battery, which ended with predictable results: two battalions destroyed and the grand battery remained. On the Allied left the French and Russians began fighting over a thin but dense wood. The French kept losing ground but the Russians built up fatigue. On the Allied right the lead Prussian division slammed into a division of French. The French should have crumbled as the Prussian grenadiers had a couple points on them and the Prussians had brought up artillery support and positioned cavalry to followup on their presumptive success. Unfortunately the Allies began a terrible dice slump and the grenadiers lost every contest, their assault bounced back.
More to come…
