Well, not something I'm into (got a laugh out of reading about Fairy Meat concept back in the day but that was the extend of interest in this type thing) but on the plus side, Vesper-On is known to be able to deliver their KS stuff in a fairly timely fashion. Maybe people ought to be prepared to pay a bit for that, eh? :P

Incidentally, my work-not-so-much-in-as-hardly-stated-to-progress superhero game would function as 1:1. You'll only need a bunch of cosplayers and a tiled floor with large enough tiles for them to stand in o_o

A 1:1 game is such a great idea! This being said, these minis really don't take advantage of the concept and are not that great overall. I'm also not that impressed by the rules extract they made available. It really feels like a wasted opportunity.

Including too many nods and homages to other IPs has resulted in this looking like a rather mish-mashed mess. Pity, as I think the concept is otherwise quite good.  :?

I thought it was particularly ridiculous on reading through the free download rules and seeing that the Lilliputians are expressly mentioned as being 'a little taller than thum- length', putting them at a much more friendly 54mm scale instead of the 28mm they are currently. That way there could have had a lot more real-world references on them, indicating their true height (nails, pins and nail scissors as weapons and bottle tops, buttons and coins as shields).

I'm very happy with the Home Raiders game.

It's exactly the kind of thing that I was looking for to get my wife, niece and nephew, and other non-minis gamer friends into gaming.

The game is lighthearted, fun, and doesn't require a massive amount of minis to play.

I love the factions that have been introduced with the Lords of Dust particularly inspiring me with the "anything is possible" mindset of the game.

I'm already contemplating a variation on the "kill and keep" games that I used to run when I was a Wizkids' Envoy running Heroclix, Horrorclix, and Halo Actionclix.

Instead of keeping the miniatures that you take out, I plan to populate the battlefield with "steal-able" terrain since the terrain is any real world object acting as itself.

I can see a battlefield littered with snacks that can be pulled back to the player's portal...and then kept by that player.

I see boxed presents that can be occupied as objectives...and if held for a number of rounds, the player gets to keep them.

Home Raiders sounds like it will be a blast for my household and a good number of gamer-lite friends that I have.

While the Kickstarter hasn't blown the doors off of the stretch goals, it funded in the first 2 hours to get a nice starter on the market.  Everything else is just icing on the cake.

 :)
