GW execution Force figures
« on: May 21, 2015, 11:27:45 AM »
Bought the assassins game to play with the boy. Got the figures finished yesterday
The assassins, I didn't stick them on the ridiculous lumps of scenery they come with

The bad guys, I haven't painted the cultists, I already had a pile done

Very nice!

I especially like the scheme on the Chaos Marines; Wordbearers? We usually only see red combined with yellow metalics, but this scheme works really well too.

The tundra bases are very nice as well. is that choice arbitrary? Does it match the bases in the rest of your collection? Or do they match the Execution Force gaming board?

And even though I like the new Assassin sculpts, I cannot get over the utter ridiculousness if the Calidus' braid. It already was exaggerated in the two previous models, but this is way past the point of being misguided! lol
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Perhaps Callidus Assassins have the powers of Princess Celestia:

Anyhoo, the minis look great! I might have to get a box of these. :)

Nice brushwork, especially on the Apostle.

That is not a braid, my friend, but an omnipotent Power Eel that she carries attached to her helm for Heath and Safety reasons.

I like your versions of the Officio Assassinorum and they look so much better on the round bases as against what is provided in the set.

The assassin with the sniper rifle is so Joe Pineapples and looks cool  8)

I may review my plans to purchase this set based on your pics/interpretation as whilst I don't really need another GW 40k boardgame from my understanding of the way it is played it is something that will get used.
Best Regards
Christopher

Very nice painting.  These models look great.

How is the game play?  Is it worth the $?

You should totally do the rainbow hair on yours if you get the model.

Aside from that, I like what you have done with them. And agree about the scenery they come with being over the top. I am thinking of keeping mine separate too.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

^ If I don't get this set, I'm sure to do MLP-style hair on Infinity women or something. XD

But this is a tempting set. I always liked the assassins.

Have to echo everyone else's sentiments, these guys look so much better without the overly scenic bases. The muted colour scheme looks great on both them and the Chaos guys.

I just wish I didn't have to shell out for the whole set when I'll only use the new figures. :(

that female assassin ... heir of Lara Croft.

So, that is GW, too? I really thought it was something like Infinity at first, maybe with a bit conversion here and there.

However, like the outcome of brushwork, too

I think the oversized pigtail is to tone down the 'bring out the gimp' aspect of the rest of the costume.

 lol
That did make me chuckle.
