Where are the minis in Froggy's entry from? Reminds me of AD Police a little...

The Tobor are Heroic Sculpting Armatures from Reaper, with lighter nozzles, electronics parts, and other such added for weapons, plus Battlefleet Gothic turrets for heads.  Ms. Chloe Paxton is "Circe" (I think) from Heroclix, repainted and be-damselized.  The hero, Walter F. Daring (deceased) is a pair of boots from Reaper's Magic Treasures Pack, Woodland Scenics' fine black ballast, and the hat is greenstuff putty.

WOOT! BFG turrets? HA! I have a ton of them and always thought them to be helmet tops with nightvision goggles of some kind. I was never able to track em down cause of the range available and their small size. LOL

The story in the first picture is very good. Especially the guys (?) alerady being incinerated with only his boots and helmet remaining. Nice narrative! With the superheroes for me it was a bit of a let down that the bases don't match in appearance.

The boots were one of those off-the-cuff projects where I didn't stop giggling from start to finish.  Those are the best projects.

Two fantastic entries.

"The New Freedom League"  Where would that "Rocky Outcrop" have come from?  Home made or bought?

Forgot to comment on this one. Froggy, your pictures are definately getting better, a full diorama here, kudos! Of course that deserves a vote too, nice narration as well indeed, and cool conversion!

Homemade - isn't everyone's?  lol

Those pieces are 3/4" acrylic that the sides have been chipped with a chisel (it break out similarly to glass when you do that), primered, and painted. Heavy, but darned near indestructable, as far as terrain goes.

Huh.  I'd made that sort of hill with foam board, and yeah, they tend to show abuse fairly easily.

That would be because they were not all done at once. That was a fill-in set of pictures of models I had never taken photo's of before, for a 2 year long Mutants and Masterminds campaign. The four with identical bases were the starting characters, and the others are ones used as replacements or important NPC's later.

Generally, after 5-7 years of use, I need to touch up the paint on the edges and reflock them. Otherwise, they're fine.

The boots win it.

Yes, the boots, painting and probably the most original way to use bloody BFG bits as robot heads win my vote. I really like the robots in picture 1...they look like awesome pulpy robot henchmen from a comic. In addition, Froggy's photography has really improved!
Although the second entry is very cool and well presented, it's the bases that makes them look a lot less nice than they could have looked. But I do love the varied looks of all the miniatures though!
