New steel fist teppo sculpts WIP
« on: 12 July 2015, 11:05:25 PM »
Here is a quick shot of some of the teppo I'm working on, the heads are just stuck on you could use any heads.
I still have to make three more kneeling three more standing and one more prone.
The standing one has just fired, not aiming which is why the gun is slightly elevated.

Would they have fired from the prone position?  Would have made reloading very difficult with a muzzle-loading matchlock (that also needs priming at the touch-hole).

Thanks for the comments.

Not sure how they did it but prone was one of the three positions they were apparently trained in. There should be more sculpts soon.
Cheers

Very badly mate  lol.

For a while I managed to put an hour or so aside every day but then came the pre-Salute Frenzy of painting and it sort of got forgotten about. Now that you have mentioned it, I'll start having another go I think- discipline is certainly needed and there's no way that I'm in a position to obtain the high standards that you are producing!

For a demonstration of loading a muzzle loader prone, start watching at 5:17:

The sculpts look superb. Can't wait to get my claws on a few to add to my eternally growing Sengoku period lead pile... :D
