New steel fist miniatures Landsknecht sculpts
« on: 15 February 2017, 02:32:54 PM »
Here are the some of the first new Renaissance pikemen im working on, these are still unfinished sculpts and they are the same size as Perry plastics. They will come with separate heads and swords so can be used for Swiss and German mercenaries.

They will be added to my growing Renaissance line, the first pack will be charging pikemen and will have 8-12 different charging pikemen in it.

The armoured figure is wearing an interesting helmet that has a visor that covers the neck, although most wore armour only had half armour he is in a munition grade full harness that would have been favoured by some of the front rank troops.
The second figure is wearing a shirt like garment copied from a 16th century woodcut.

absolutely stunning, that's the period captured in 2 figures right there - I thought you might be tempted by that transitional armet too

I would love to see the fully armoured one with a nasty looking halberd,
I think the quote is "'ave it!!!!"
the most realistic looking attacking pike - they aint stopping for........ I have ever seen .

The armoured figure could be Scots noble pike from Flodden - they fought in the front rank of the Scots army

i was thinking the same thing.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Here are a couple of new figures, one is of course a knight with a huge plume, the plume can be changed for another. But its size is inkeeping with one shown on a 16th century woodcut shown here for reference I have made this plume before but I think it's a better version.

The foot figure has a half armour and a Burgonet.
