Just back from the caster, Ii Naomasa, he was due to be in the kickstarter, but I wanted to release him ahead of the kickstarter, to show the level of quality that can be expected. The caster has done a great job, these have had no filling and have literally just been stuck together. He comes with these two standard bearers and a brass banner and a resin one. They are not due for release until I have a stock of the resin standard.
Naomasa carries a nodachi, which apparently was used as a cavalry sword due to its long reach. And he wears his famous helmet. Here I envisage him at Sekigahara, disobediently leading the charge that started the battle and denying Fukushima Masanori the honour given by Ieyasu.
His horse is fully armoured. Most horse armour is apparently from the edo period but I have different books from japan that say it was widely used in the sengoku period, so I chose to depict the flamboyant Naomasa's horse in it.
One of his standard bearers has a unusual armour made of hexagonal pieces of steel sewn into fabric, like a medieval brigadine.
