Base sizes for creatures?
« on: 25 July 2015, 07:15:31 PM »
Is there any standard base size for creatures?  Obviously for wandering monsters it doesn't really matter as it affects both players equally, but for the creatures you can buy or summon for your warband?  I ask as I have a sabre-tooth cat I'd like to use as a snow leopard, but at a minimum it will need a cavalry base, and even that might be a little small.

Technically there is no standard base size that I'm aware of; however, the Frostgrave Soldiers set comes with separate, 25mm round bases.  I believe that the most common base size for larger creatures is 40mm or 50mm, assuming you want to use a round base to begin with.

Here is a chart showing some of the standard base sizes for Pathfinder miniatures, although it seems pretty standard when compared to many other gaming systems.
