Demon Summoning and a Role of 1

If you role a 1 when demon summoning can you avoid the demon attacking you by empowering?  Thanks!

Nope, a rolled one is still a rolled one.  If all it took to avoid demon attack was sacrificing a single health point then demon attacks would never happen!

You could boost it to make the type of attacking demon smaller though.

Houserule:
if you empower a natural one ... two demos will attack you.  :D
