Again, thanks all for your comments, I feel encouraged. :)

Lowtardog, thanks for the suggestion. I had a look at Of Gods and Mortals, but it doesn't match my mental image of mythological encounters. Good thing is, I'm not building this with a specific ruleset in mind – even if Frostgrave is an incentive.

Jan, jaja, der alte russische Sklaventreiber. :D Looking forward to some new Mycenaeans. Or perhaps archaic Greeks? I'll stick with my beloved classical heroes, though.

And on we go, building ruins. ::)

First off, any ruined city needs a ruined city wall. This also allows to add height levels, always useful in skirmish games. Here's my first attempt. Not happy yet, but likely many more sections are to follow, so there's some practicing ahead.

Even in a state of decay many urban areas in ancient times were home to thriving communities, so why should a mythological place be any different? And since people need to eat, a bakery may come in handy. An easy build, made of plastic shells and cut out styrofoam. Looks aptly ancient to me.

And finally I added three minions in the guise of Thracian warriors. They may be hired by heroes and villains alike, but most likely they'll serve King Aietes – as painted for our "Jason and the Argonauts" participation game back in 2011.

A few more details, as always, on the blog. Thanks for visiting, sharing & commenting! :)

Cheers, guys! :) Your comments add greatly to the fun I have with this little project.

Hazel, you're more than welcome to contribute to and participate in this remake. Unlike certain rehashes of Harryhausen movies, it'll be true to the original. Promise. ;)
