possible wizard band :)
« on: December 03, 2015, 12:05:33 PM »
I was searching for figures for a wizard band last night in my bits box, basically a big plastic box with un painted figures in it.

And I came across these pygmy figures from Eureka miniatures from their pax limpopo range. Some figures I think I bought as a Salute event some 6 or 7 years ago. I have them all apart from the giant ant rider and thought what a fantastic "little" wizard's band they would make.

The one with the mask could be the shaman wizard with the girl as his apprentice then all the others could be the different types of followers. I was thinking of getting a beetle figure so one of them could represent the dog handler (but with a beetle of course)

the drummer could be a bard, the blow pipe... not sure if there are rules for blow pipes but I could use a bow with a shorter range, some of the others could be javelin throwers and standard soldiers with the chieftain being the equivalent  of a knight possibly

What do people think about the this idea.

Well plenty of people have viewed this post but no replies.  :-[

I thought of using them because they reminded me of the the little tribesmen that attack the group in the mummy 3 film.

I was going to paint them a stone grey colour if I decide to go with them :)

This game is very well suited for "Counts-as", so I would use the blowpipe model as whichever missile specialist you want. Given the short range that a blowpipe should have, I would use that model as the Javelineer.

I like the concept of zombie pygmies in Frostgrave.
