15mm Winter of '79
« on: 21 February 2016, 10:32:41 PM »
Having bought the Rhodesian miniatures by Fireforce15/Old Glory, I'm a touch wary of getting their Falkland models too. Compared to QRF's offerings, the only real advantage is that I could also get similarly sized Argentinians to use as part of a US-backed militia.

I'm currently leaning toward QRF, but I suppose the deciding factor is - which group fits better with Peter Pig? I plan to lean quite heavily on their AK47 line and their separate heads, so similarity would be great.

FWIW I'd lean towards QRF for the range of figures.  My 15s are locked away in the garage but from memory QRF/OG/PP are all reasonably interchangeable on the table top (just less so up close when the different styles reveal themselves).

To be honest you might be better off waiting to see what the ArmiesArmy figures and kit are like: http://armiesarmy.com/product-category/moderns/kickstarter-cold-war/british-ks/british-infantry/

Thanks, QRF it is! I vaguely remembered the same thing, I just needed it confirmed.

I want to get cracking at the end of the month, but I have bought Keith's (admittedly lovely) sci-fi models before, and they are usually "Battlefront" sized, quite chunky in all aspects and a little tall. If he has changed sculptors for the Cold War though, I can always do with a third faction!
