That's a FINE start to The Project...I usually do the buildings & then add the denizens, but the other way around can be as enjoyable & work just as well. Be warned though, terrain building is highly addictive. That said, have FUN with it all!

A nice project!

I did something similar with the Perry houses, which are quite easy to convert to different arrangements. Btw the cabbages are paper 'rose buds' from a card making store.

As it happens, in the near future I'll be putting all the buildings onto a few 30cm sq tiles, as that's what I'm using these days.
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Deafnala, thanks, I will have fun. I've always enjoyed building terrain immensely, I just had to stop for a while as I didn't have a place to store any new thing I'd build.

Silent Invader, that looks great  :-*, and fairly close to the look I'm aiming for. I'll have a thorough read-through of your thread for inspiration.

You're welcome! I actually picked up the rosebud idea here on LAF. ;)

A week or so ago, I discovered that a model shop in the next city, that had closed it's doors quite some time ago, had apparently quietly un-closed them under different management. They have a large range of Noch, so now I have a little packet of lasercut-paper cabbage and rhubarb (not really entirely medieval, but I can pass them off as leeks of some sort, I hope) to try out and see how I like them.

I've since also finished the chickens, and as of yesterday, the peasant woman tending to them:

I'm also thinking of using some vines I already have as beanstalks, just drape them over a frame, and I've yet to find the rosebuds locally (mainly through a lack of actively looking yet...). Once I have those, I can build a basic vegetable garden to test drive these things.

I must admit that those are probably the first chickens I've seen in a Fantasy setting; AND they are LOVELY chickens. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks, DeafNala!
You have to have something worth fighting over, after all. Orcs don't loot villages just for the ambiance, do they?  ;)

Rhubarb has been known as a medical herb in Europe since medieval times (probably spread by monks?).

I hope to see more of this project  ;)

Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Thanks, Argonor, I didn't know that.

I'll get back to it eventually. The Muse has been on holiday lately, but I'm sure she'll visit my little hamlet again sometime. :)
