Saga: Crescent and Cross Battle Report
« on: 08 May 2016, 03:04:06 AM »
I had an epic game of Saga: Crescent & Cross last night and, miraculously, remembered to take enough photos to do a proper battle report.

More pics and a write-up at my phlog Here.

Great write up and lovely looking figures. Those Saracens are certainly a colorful bunch. It might be worth looking into painting up a force of these chaps.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

That looks really good, a very nice selection of figures and an exciting battle report... what size is the gaming mat and who makes it?

Thanks for the comments. All credit for the Saracen painting goes to my wife and friend. I think they both did an amazing job, especially on 15mm figures.

The mat is a 6x4 forest mat from Zuzzy, painted as desert instead. I originally got it for my modern Afghanistan games - ditto for the buildings and scratch-built market stalls. We only use at small part of it for Saga, since we're playing in 15mm and using half measurements.

I think the mat is great, but I don't know if Zuzzy is still in business or not. The last I heard they were accepting orders but not delivering, so do some research and be very careful if you decide to buy from them.

Thanks for that Cameron, I'm in Blighty, so thankfully there's no chance of mr getting involved with Zuzzy... nice desert mat though!
