Purchasing the game was a bit on a dare and done after only playing a handful of demo games. I enjoyed it before, but after seeing the versatility and how streamlined and gorgeous the game looks after its 2nd edition- and after seeing how amazing everything looks in the new edition... Mantic, I got to say- ya killed it.
I was hoping this would arrive before GenCon but it was a tad late, with any luck we may have one demo table done.
I've decided to model up a Forge Fathers and Enforcers force- the remaining models will be given away.
Right now I have a lack of experience with the system- advice would be extremely helpful.
I don't know how I feel about the Flamethrower- after assembling this lot I feel like I made a mistake. I tried to assemble less troops, but looking back at it they feel very similar to Using an Z95 or X-Wing... Just enough punch to take and a viable tactic on their own, yet not competitive without decent upgrades or support peices.
The game plays between 100 and 300 points- with the sweet spot at an experienced 200. It's about 15 models to a collection and you want a good mix.
I think I should mount the gun drones on washers and assemble another enforcer or two with basic guns and that flame gun...
I also feel like I should paint up some corporate fatso for these guys to guard... Thinking about popping out that big guys head for a scout head, and then throwing a helmet on his base.
I'm loving the models- somewhere between Judge Dredd, Space Marine, Iron Man and Corprate Goons.
