Lazy Painter says hi
« on: 15 June 2016, 11:49:36 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I live in south Germany, and started a couple of years ago painting and playing WH, but sadly I have not been able to achieve much (apart from a lot of fun). I painted a handful of models and played even fewer games. Sadly I was not able to find a playing scene, painting at the GW shop was anything but comfortable, and having to move (apartments) a bunch of times stop me from enjoying the hobby enough.

I have learned that GW is not the only supplier, and started watching videos of others games. I have also seen a lot of mini that I would love to paint, read/write fluff and hopefully this will be the summer of "hobby".

Hope to get to meet you,
Juan

I'm new here as well.  I'm also a lazy painter, but have figured out how to work around my tendencies.  I block paint, brush on gloss varnish and then use a quick water colour wash and clean up and that's it.  I use very few painting supplies and only take up very little space while painting.

I've learned that it's best to paint what you love rather than what other people around you are playing.  That also helps get things done.

Hi Juan!

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the hobby outside of Games Workshop! As you are no doubt finding out there is a huge amount of stuff out there. As for lazy painting, we are all.guilty of that now and again the trick is to find something that really inspires you.  And not to worry about downing paintbrushes and moving to somehing else if you hit a wall!
