Galloping Major are lovely, but the range is quite small - no regulars, grenadiers or kilted highlanders, for instance.

Regulars have just been the subject of a recent Kickstarter campaign and will be released later this year. I believe Grenadiers will be following on from there. I also believe French regulars will then follow.

A big thanks to all of you who have mentioned our figures on this useful and interesting thread, enabling me to stand back and not have to make any "me too" comment  lol

Thanks Malamute for answering Steve's comment:
"Regulars have just been the subject of a recent Kickstarter campaign and will be released later this year. I believe Grenadiers will be following on from there. I also believe French regulars will then follow."

SteveBurt, I was pleased to see that you like my figures, and your comment reminded me that the appearance of our Redcoats will be non-too-soon for many; they should be available to purchase by January, starting with 10 packs of hatmen. I hadn't wanted to go off half-cock with just a handful of figures to choose from, so held back until I was able to come out with the sort of sub-range I had always dreamed of seeing produced for a period I have loved since childhood; which the support of customers old and new through the success of our recent first Kickstarter campaign, has enabled us to realise.

As Nick says, grenadiers and highlanders will be following on later, as will French troops and a good many other types in releases yet to come.  I'm hoping to step-up the rate of new releases from now on :)

The comment that “the range is quite small”  :o was a particularly useful reminder that a range of about forty packs with well over 200 different figures will still be considered small as long as it doesn’t contain regular troops, ;) Well, hopefully I’m about to put that right, here they come, I hope you’ll like them too :D

Cheers,
lance

Doh, when I said there'll be 10 packs of hatmen, I didn't include the 4 packs of 60th Foot, so that's 14 packs  ::)

Lance has some previews on the Galloping Major website of several Marines already sculpted. ;D

No doubt he'll tell us more about the plans for them in due course. ;)

When it doesn't cover all the troop types needed  ;)

Throwing my twopence (late) into the ring, I would recommend Galloping Major supplemented by Redoubt.  GM are absolutely gorgeous figures but as others have said but some elements are missing.  Redoubt have a wide(r) range of figures and are very good scupts, matching GM in size perfectly.  However you do have to be careful with Redoubt as some of the castings are a bit dodgy.  However in my experience they are happy to put them right.

Front Rank and North Star also mix well with GM + Redoubt.
Between them you can get everything you need.
Redoubt also do some excellent canoes crewed by Indians and Rangers.
