So it's been a Hell of a long time since I last posted. Life has a way of getting in the way of things, and I wasn't about to post back in this thread unless I had something worthy of updating;
Here's a train-set commission I've been working on. Strictly for Pulp-esque adventures. 28mm scale, started off life as Laser-cut MDF (from TT Combat; the "Phantom Line").

Taking an embarrassingly long time to make and paint, this is by far the largest commission I have ever completed. Weighing in at 4ft in length, the track has been assembled in foot long increments, around 11 all told (without including the junctions and bends), with a custom hand-made bridge and two platforms. The steam engine Morrigan is 4ft in length end to end, from engine to observation deck. Featuring doors that open (hand-made hinges) and removable furniture for use in the carriages and on the platforms, There is Alot to play with here.

Things were added, and things were modified to bring new angles and additional detail to the set. Wallpaper was printed off and added to the waiting areas, when originally they were going to be bare. The bridge became large enough for 3 tracks to run comfortably underneath it, when originally it was only going to cover 2.

I won't lie, I bit off more than I could chew, but I finished it in the end and you know what? Now that it's done, I'll be able to play some sweet games on it, and help the guy add more to the set in the future. :-)
