[Kickstarter] Thug Life-the game
« on: October 18, 2016, 04:30:15 AM »
Hey folks!

I stumbled upon an interesting looking Kickstarter, called THUG LIFE.

Just a nice change of pace from all the zombie-cthulhu-dungeon crawls.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ref=nav_search

Their funding goal isn't all that high, and hopefully they'll make it.

The most interesting part, to me anyhow, are the miniatures. A bit 'stereotyped' to be sure, but done within the flavor of the game.

The miniatures are 28mm scale. Just look fun to paint.

Currently, there is no 'miniatures only' option, but a quickly answered email from the team let me know that they are indeed checking into that option.

I'd be down for that.

You think?  LOL!  Now my brain is spinning thinking about the "activities" the players would be involved in.
Viva Alta California!  Las guerras de España,  Las guerras de las Américas,  Las guerras para la Libertad!

LOL.  Yeah, I was a bit shocked when I first looked at it, but as I watched the video I realized these guys are having fun with it, kind of in the vein of video games like Grand Theft Auto and Mafia.

Still, the chance to get 'modern' miniatures that aren't soldiers appeals to me.

Hey Supervike!

Thanks so much for the kind words!

And yes, to give you all a quick verbal on the game...you know it's your typical game board experience, selling drugs, doing drive bys , basically fun for the whole family!

In all seriousness though, the game is an extremely fun to play and it makes you ask yourself really interesting questions about yourself as a gamer and as an American. Check out our Facebook page for some "friends play" videos and please share us around.

Reach out to us directly on Facebook or on Kickstarter and I am happy to answer any and all questions. We're doing lots of demos in LA right now and we plan to be at BGG in Dallas and at the CMON expo in Atlanta next year. It was too much fun last time!
