Cigar Box Battle Mats
« on: 02 December 2016, 09:25:13 PM »
I sent an email to Cigar Box about 2 weeks ago and haven't gotten a reply back, my question is can you wash their mats in a regular washer - I'm sure you'll use the delicate cycle and a similar detergent.
Has anyone tried this before?

They say that you can.  I own a mat - and would rather not risk trying it.

A simpler option (assuming the material is okay) is to wash it with detergent in a sink and let it air dry.  Maybe easier on the material.

The FAQ on their website says:
How do I care for my Cigar Box Battle Mat?

You can wash your Cigar Box Battle mats in a regular washing machine on the gentle cycle - cold water setting. Do not machine dry. Do not use bleach or other whitening or harsh chemicals.

By the way, is anyone selling these in the UK? Northstar had them for a while but not any more.

I've washed and dried a couple of the Cigar Box Mats in a machine, used the cold water setting and low heat in the dryer.  They came out fine.
