I see you mention the interview with David Rattray. I have  tapes (yes cassettes!) he used to sell following a stay at his lodge at Fugitives Drift  many years ago. He took us to Rorkes Drift and Isandlwana. It was great to hear him recounting the fighting and the stories at both battlefields, he certainly knew how to evoke the period.
