Capital stuff!

And marvellous output. I am aware that you paint armies with another approach than I paint small groups for skirmish games, but it is still quite amazing how much you get done!

Rather good Giles  8)

It's a shame you're going to have to set fire to it near the end of the game...  :D

 :o :oSweet zombie jeebus!

That is a lot of zulus! I don't think I have that many painted figures in my entire collection.

You have done a marvelous job with one of my absolute favourite battles. This is in no way meant as a criticism, but the hospital and storehouse should be reversed.  ;)

Yup you are right...

Almost finished the groundwork for the Drift - just the Kraal to finish

Loads more pictures and in progress shots on the blog plus a couple of interesting 'interviews' found on you tube

I see you mention the interview with David Rattray. I have  tapes (yes cassettes!) he used to sell following a stay at his lodge at Fugitives Drift  many years ago. He took us to Rorkes Drift and Isandlwana. It was great to hear him recounting the fighting and the stories at both battlefields, he certainly knew how to evoke the period.  :)

So now that Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift have been refought I am going to give the Zulu Wars a breather and turn my attention back to another project
