Sgt. Major Miniatures?
« on: April 25, 2017, 06:37:36 AM »
Anyone know if these guys are still in business?
I've been trying to contact them about an order I made but haven't heard anything back.

Thanks for any info,
K

In my one experience with them, no contact despite attempts, a long delay, and inferior product. Others have had good luck, but I won't be back.
Good luck!

The owner just posted somewhere else that he is going out of business. He is interested in
selling his various lines of figures. Did not as if he is out yet so still maybe a chance for you to
buy something. Too bad I really liked his stuff.

Well I did try to buy something, and the Paypal payment went through... but other than that, silence. And no response to e'mail messages asking what's up.

Check this out. Explains a lot. I hope someone picks up these good old Vendel lines, and cleans up the damn molds!

Shit!
Guess I'd better place an order soon.

Check this out.

I just saw that, came over here to post.

I'd ordered a few things from them several years ago, sorry to hear about the recent problems.

Hmm... Sorry to hear about your woes.  :?

But at the same time I'm glad I never took the plunge to actually order from them (mostly due to the ridiculous postage costs). I've had the ex-Vendel SO-1 heroes (still after the 4 halflings in that set) in my basket multiple times, but luckily always shut the window when I saw the postage ($35,- for a $15,- set...).

I've sent several emails inquiring about the postage fees, to see if there were other options, but I never got an answer back.

Here's to hoping that

a) You either receive your order, or get your money back (Paypal you say? Start a complaint/issue then; that's what Paypal is for after all)

b) As LeadAsbestos stated; the Vendel lines get picked up by someone who can offer them at more reasonable prices and quality...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I love their Greeks, had a pile back in the day, and the Border Reivers are lovely and inexpensive, but such poor castings that I put them quietly back in the lead pile and sold them off eventually.

Yep, These Vendel figures looked great. Never had the chance to purchase them thought… there’s too much good figures nowadays for my poor wallet…

I wanted to leave note here that Sgt. Major did get back to me and said they're trying to get to all back orders as soon as possible, probably this week.

Thanks for the TMP link and its alternate e'mail address.
