Lookin for a movie
« on: 11 March 2009, 11:27:54 AM »
Hi guys,

I'm looking for a trashy adventure movie. And I have loads of problems identifying it. Now the main problem is that all I remember is one stupid sentence from it and in that sentence was the name of the heroine of the movie called Lonny Logan.

I watched the movie in the early 1990 on TV so it must have been an 80's movie (probably in the wake of Michael Douglas`djungel movie with Catharine Turner (I just know the German title "Jagd nach dem grünen Diamanten").

Back to my movie problem. I know I was drunk or high or probably both the night I watched that stupid movie so that explains my lack of memory. However the sentence "Lonny Logan, du bist wirklich ein steiler Zahn." (roughly translates into "Lonny Logan, you're hot stuff.") is really all I remember. I've been googleing and researching for quite some time to know result.

So my hope is that somebody might actually remember a movie like that. Genrewise it definetely was the typical adventure movie like Quatermain or said Michael Douglas movie.

Slim chance, I know but maybe I'm lucky...

Thx anyway.

Sorry mate, it sounds like my kind of movie too, but without a bit more to go on I'm stuck. IMDB have no records of film titles or characters called Lonny (or Lonnie) Logan as far as I can see.

Could you have maybe misheard the name? Any idea who the actress was? Was it a dubbed US movie or a European one?

Oh, and the Michael Douglas/Catherine Turner movie was "Romancing the Stone" in English.  ;)

Maybe it was a western Lonnie Logan was a member of the hole in the wall gang and brother to Kid Curry?
The only other trash jungle movie from the 80s I remember is the adventures of Gwendowline in the land of the Yik yak(good show to catch) but no lonnie Logan

A little search on IMDB turned up this film:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093937/

"Alla ricerca dell'impero sepolto"  Also Known As:

Bradbury und der Fluch der Todeshöhle West Germany (video title)
Das Geheimnis des Inka-Schatzes West Germany (TV title)
Der Goldene Condor West Germany
Inka Man - Fluch der Todeshöhle West Germany
Secret du temple inca, Le France
Secret of the Incas' Empire USA (informal English title)
Tajemnica imperium Inków Poland

It seems to have a lead female character called "Lynda London" (you did say you'd been drinking), the plot fits the bill, and it was released in 1987/1988.

Any good?

Well thanks for checking. It is possible that it is actually that movie. Gee, I'll just try to grab a copy and watch it. From the description it can't really be bad so why not? Great! Beautiful woman and trashy adventure movies - the world can be such a nice place! :D
