The Illustrated London News Reporting from Venus
« on: March 11, 2009, 04:47:47 PM »
Dear Reader,

We thought it appropriate after reporting so many marvellous stoires and photographs of our brave and intrepid British explorers far far away on Venus that it was time you met the men responsible for the news reports and images.

Introducing....

Archibald Harris-Hampton, reporter.
(Bicorne Miniatures)

Stanley Still, Official photographer.
(Old Glory)

Dara O'Jeeling, Asssistant
(Foundry)

Here we go behind to scenes to see an interview in progress between Archibald Harris-Hampton and Professor Ebenezer Von Stypher-Dyke (university of Vienna) after the discovery of a new species of parrott.

I spent ages looking at Bicornes Italians last Sunday and never saw that guy. The photographer is great too, more admiration for your ability to find these gems.

An altogether wonderful collection of characters.

Excellent, those Bicorne minis seem to paint up proper nice. I was a bit dubious about how they would fit with other ranges, but that's a really good fit. :)

Excellent stuff, I take it they'll be present on the sidelines of upcoming battles?

Oh, did you really paint those today?
So many projects..... so little time.......

Absolutely, to bring the news straight to the public at home :)

Oh, did you really paint those today?

No, they have been on the shelf for a while waiting to be based, this afternoon was the first opportunity to get the camera out.

I only managed to paint a Prussian MG team today. ::)

They have a small section called war correspondents with a four or five figures I think. The above chap is supposed to be Rudyard Kipling. Sir Henry Bullshott's Monsieur Absinthe is anothor one of them.(Seen in his earlier thread on the Frenchies on Venus)

Lovely figures.
Never heard of Bicorne before. You learn something new every day. Will need to look them up.

Very interesting job , Malamute!

Some years ago I noted the Bicorn range of colonials extras etc and I doubted whether I should buy or not.
They seem rather interesting .

Very nice!, which reminds me: I have the OG photographer somewhere (yeah, somewhere...).

Rudi

And the accompanying chap taking a pose on the dead lion. He could be an interesting poser on Venus/Africa/whatever,
Just a small tip: The other guy in the same OG pack holding a hextant, can be used as a naval officer or a topographer manning some RGS expedition either on Venus or some other uncharted land.

Great Work again!  You're inspiring me . . .

Good timing too.  I had just been thinking about adding a photographer!  We definitely need one to rcord our next expedition.

Keep it coming!
