28mm French Army of Louis XIV from 1670-1697. Dismounted dragoons added 08/06/17

Hello all, now is the turn of my French army of the Sun King, is based for Pike & Shotte (Warlord Games)

Nowadays it comprises 4 foot regiments: Foix, La Sarre, Gardes Suisses, La Couronne
1 assault group of Grenadier Etranger
2 field guns
1 mortar
1 cavalry regiment: Royal des Carabiniers
1 dragoons
1 colonel
1 general of the army, Turenne

In the near future I will paint 2 more cavalry, 3 infantry and 1 musketeers de roi.

Miniatures by Front Rank, Northstar 1672, Foundry and Warfare Miniatures. Aaah and a plastic gun from Wargames Factory

A pleasure to see a fine , thematic , collection of figures brought to the table. What is it about the Sun King's armies ? The uniforms , the wonderful flags ? The romance of the period ?      We are using "   Maurice  " by Sam Mustafa to game the period , one of my favourite rulesets.
