15mm Khurasan Mesonai
« on: 17 May 2017, 11:05:49 PM »
My Mesonai force. These minis are among  Khurasan's nicest imho. The detail they have is nothing short of excellent.
Pity there aren't any kneeling ones...though I might convert one
I'm using his slugs ( can't remember what they're called as mesonai blood hounds ). There's also a converted NCO figure.
I decided to make the bases by mixing PVA glue with gloss acrylics to represent marsh/swamp.
The vehicle is scratchbuilt. Camo represents an Alien jungle world
Hope you like them. Retouched the converted leader figure as I didn't like how he looked in the first pics.

Yes, the tank fits the aesthetic perfectly.

Thanks for the kind words.
Glad you like them.
That tank is scratchbuilt , off course using a plaster of Paris base & mdf.
Turret is a plastic spoon & an aerosol perfume cannon.
Painted up using a wet on wet technique.le/swamp

Made it as a hover/grav vehicle as it would make most sense in a jungle / swamp environment.

Very nice and I'm glad you like these.  They are getting tanks and APCs in both grav and tracked variants, which actually do somewhat resemble the bathtub look of the vehicle.  ;-)

:o First read as 15mm Khurasan 'Memorial'...

THEY'RE GONE?!?!

*ahem*

Just explained to a co-worker those guys are about 2/3" tall. She just shook her head.

IS a nice tank camo; very other-worldly invoking.

Thanks all .
Glad you like them.

Khurasan - now that you mention it , they do look like bathtubs & will definitely not sink in a swamp...

Awu/Sams - the camo was actually an experiment that went well, not one of the easiest to do but well worth it.
Ask if you want to try it out. Other colour combinations would look good. Imagine Purples & blues from light to dark.

Beast , you kill me with your quips  lol lol lol

Thanks

"I'm not dead yet!"

I can't be, I've still got too much stuff to release (and not enough time to release it)....
