Indeed. Neldoreth pointed this out when he sent in his entry, but confirmed the five central figures are newly painted  :)

Antti, your joke is great (how does a Finn know how to crack jokes in English?!) Alas though, I'm not sure anything is going to counter the quality of that freehand. If I'd been up against these in the last round they'd have done for me too...  o_o

Joe, this is the reason I wanted you to participate in LPL all those years ago -- your shields deserve a world audience... lol

And those fishmen are awesome, I love the little gollum guy on the right...! And I admit I did not get the pun until pointed out.. lol lol

I saw those fish men first and thought - nothing's going to beat that skin work.  Easy vote.

Then I saw - and I don't know if you've all spotted this yet - those shields!

Dolmot, excellent fishmen. The character in the faces is just great. I also really like the ambiance that you've captures with that sea, it really tells a story of and overcast rainy day.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, greatly appreciated! It was a struggle to bring myself to do these to be honest; my round 8 hoplites took some much effort and time, but it was either hoplites or another round of Andalusians, so I decided to use LPL to expand my Ancient Greek army... I am guessing that I'll paint five for every LPL, and then after 12 LPLs I'll have finally completed my ancient greeks!  ;D

@Orctrader, these hoplites are currently available from Warlord Games: greek hoplite infantry sprue (https://us-store.warlordgames.com/collections/greeks/products/greek-hoplite-infantry-sprue)

Thanks again all,
n
