New in these parts
« on: March 16, 2009, 09:19:57 AM »
Just wanted to introduce myself around here.  Been lurking around trying to figure out which direction I wanted to take my gaming in.  I am a GW addict, I know sometimes this is no good, but I do realize I need a change.
So...I got off my lazy rear and ordered some fine Artizan Old West minis to begin my collection.  My son and I will start having our shootouts now on the table instead with Nerf bullets in the back of my head while painting or gaming.

Take care
Galman

Well I ordered my figures from Brigade games and they purchase has not even been posted, called them about it and now awaiting a call back.  I do hope they can get this going soon, if not I will go with Foundry from TheWarStore.  I want to paint me some Cowboys!

Well Brigade games got back with me, they were at the Cold Wars event, so very understandable on that.  Sounded like it would have been a great time.  So fixing that situation at this time.  Also went ahead and ordered a pack of Apache Warriors and a Posse set from Foundry miniatures.  Good times, good times.

Greetings!! I know what you mean about the Nerf bullets...and they seem to know just when to fire off a salvo just as you are trying to paint one of the most difficult fine details on a model too. >:(

Welcome to the forum, Galman. Looking forward to seeing those Artizan minis (I love their models), and I'm also interested in hearing how your order with Brigade went. They have a few models that I really want to get, but I just haven't got around to it yet, so if their service is good, I'll do it at the end of the month - bite the bullet, and all that.

Brigade is a really friendly group.  It just took longer to get it straitened out due to them being at cold Wars.  When they returned they were quick to respond to all emails and calls to make sure I got the service I needed.  So far they get a thumbs up in my book.

Howdy Galman,

former GW addicts turning over to Old West miniatures are especially welcome on board!  lol

Have fun, and I'm looking forward to your first pics!
