Thanks for starting a great forum. I have the most fun here and get the most inspiration.

I've been posting all morning about the Witchheimer miniature and I'm supposed to be working!

Reading and posting on this forum is the only thing I'm doing about wargames at the time, I'm afraid so.
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

I know what you mean. its nice to see a forum that improves the hobby. I've not even read the rules / played the games yet and i've been inspired.

All Kurgan had to do was mention pulp wargaming and i started hacking at plastic and green stuff. :)

The ship / board building articles just make me want to create scenery....
...and i'm sure a certain Kurgan is considering similar ship building projects for his pirate orks.

It just goes to show how much better a community based on scenario wargames is much more relaxed than tournament based wargames. From brousing the site i've yet to find a rules dispute (and probably never will) :)

I'm affraid, I'm not much of a doer these days... I'll try hard not to do too much whining, though... Maybe I'll actually be doing some stuff again when summer's gone, and I have cleaned out my hobby/gaming room... There's inspiration enough to be had in here, that's for sure!

Yes there is that. And a reasonable width of topics. I would also add, if it didn't make me sound like such an old fart, say that there is  in comparaison to some other fora I've been in a level of maturity here to that I like. And that is *me* saying that who is a bit of a compulsory joker.

...I did come across as a bit of an old fart anyway didn't I? Bugger...

I say old pal, nothing wrong with that. Most fora I know could really use a modicum of the things you mention. Jolly good. ;) :)

I agree with all of you. I have the forum page opened since the moment I arrive to my office. The sepia color gives it a "respectable" look and nobody thinks I am planning new scenarios and project while I furiously type in the keyword...
