Anyone know of 28mm sci-fi shoulder insignia decals?
« on: 25 May 2017, 05:47:19 PM »
I am painting up some of those magnificent Anvil Industries Martian Fusiliers.

https://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2016/8/30/823814_md-Anvil%2C%20Martian%20Orbital%20Fusiliers.jpg

I put a colored flash on the left upper arm (not shoulder) and the right knee.

I'd like to put some tiny insignia on those flashes.  I can't free-hand paint details that small.

Anyone know of any good decal sheets out there?

There was a Kickstarter byAntenocitis Workshop for an Infinity dropship some time ago (Dwartist is finishing a diorama with one, and posts here on LAF), which also included Infinity decals.

I pledged and got me a good few decals for use on shoulderpads etc.

Perhaps those can be of interest to you?

Great idea!  Can you post a link?  I'd love to see the images.

DWArtist is my painting hero.   :)

By the way, what ever happened to Antenociti's GOT minis?  He made some great stuff including the best hardsuit I've seen in 28mm.  They all seem to be gone, now.

Depending upon how intricate the insignia you want to use is, you might also consider using a pen for it. Some of the smaller tipped felt pens or paint markers can work quite well for that sort of thing, especially if you're going to seal it afterwards.

We done dozens of 28mm custom sets for Pulp Gang Wars, Sci-Fi, etc.

If you have a design already, it's as easy as adding your artwork to our current custom client sheets going to print.  If you need art created, we can do that too.

If memory serves, they dropped the range to concentrate solely on Infinity stuff. I managed to grab what I needed, but it's still annoying.

Hopefully they'll come back, or he'll sell the masters to someone else.

Now that I have a steady income I'd like to get some of his stuff.  Poor timing, huh?
