The second part of our mini-campaign at CONflict 2017.
A build-up of British and French forces aims at stifling further Italian expansion. The quick capture of the Italian airfield close to the old Ottoman fortress of Ras el-Hanuth, guarded by a company of the blackshirts of the feared division "Nero D'Avola" is the key opening move.
Abyssinian liberation forces are pushing for the airfield, aided by French support.
In the foreground the airfield, to the right the small Abyssinian village Niter Kibbeh and in the left background the fortress.

The alarmed Spanish pilots of the Escuadrilla Azul, sent along by Franco, are rushing to start their planes in order to fight the attackers from the air.

An Abyssinian platoon Mehal Sefari, supported by a MG and a 20mm SEMAG, has deployed to the small village of Niter Kibbeh and set up a defense perimeter. The airfield in front of the village is ideally suited for an Italian mechanized counterattack.

A Platoon of the REC Royale Etrangere in the background has already been able to occupy parts of Ras el-Hanuth.
A section of Italians has already deployed in front of the barracks. The first Spanish airstrike was already forced to abort due to the strong and accurate AA fire from the village ... for now.

The Lancieri di Gabbana are rushing full speed ahead in their first armoured car to prepare a warm reception for the Allies.

The Italian mechanized platoon pushes forward along the airfield as the Abyssinian Meto aleqa had expected. The 20mm SEMAG proves extremely deadly once again: the first Italian armoured car is put out of action!
