Time for a figure inventory
« on: 05 June 2017, 05:32:24 PM »
I sorted out all of my "Darkest Africa" figures to get a better idea of what units I needed to reinforce or build from scratch.  Here's the result. I'm going to beef up my tribals with some more Azande and then probably Mahdists.

I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

It's definitely been years in progress. I bought the first figures pretty much the week Foundry released them.

REALLY like your very varied pod of waterline Hippos !!   How in the world did you make them?

And who are the unit in blue uniforms and off-white hats?

The original figures are from Foundry and Acheson.  I mounted each on an appropriately sized steel washer(for safe transportation.  Then placed them on waxed paper and puddled a copious amount of Elmers white glue on around the washer.  After the glue completely dried, it peels right off.  Paint the base to match your favorite African River and voila.

Sounds like my approach. I figure I'll be done with the Foundry DA catalogue in another two-three years :)

Excellent point.  I'll put some on the list for the next order. I just got 3 hyenas from Foundry and more scavengers will fit right in.
