Really like that building - did you scratch build it?   :-*

It is scratch built, but not by me. A friend from the Coventry Chieftains,
a sadly now defunct wargames group, one Andy Taylor did all the work.
A very skilful guy. I am proud to have more examples of his work, but
he dropped out of the Coventry area & I have no idea where he is now.
If you do hear about this Andy, get in touch.

Sigur and I recently played game two of our Star of Bravery Sharp Practice Campaign. It ended with a duel!

You can find my AAR here: https://wargamingraft.wordpress.com/2021/06/26/star-of-bravery-episode-2-cruchot-gets-captured/ and Sigur's here: https://www.tabletopstories.net/language/en/2021/06/sharp-practice-campaign-game-2/

It's really great to be gaming again in person!

We had a fantastic time time hosting some guys from across the state this weekend. Three, count 'em, three wargames plus a whole lot of awesome between! Three completely different games. 15mm scale Mecha Battle, a Fantasy brawl in the caverns, and a HUGE Star Wars game. All using Fistful of Lead.

More pics and all the action at the blog:

What a great weekend Baron!

We enjoyed an outside game under an awning at Murdock's yesterday, using the armies of Saxe-Bearstein and Stagonia, bequeathed  to me by Bluebear Jeff when he left this world,  to fight another battle in the Wars of Stagonian Aggression.

Great games as usual, high quality stuff indeed!! Super to see Bluebear Jeff's armies still fighting their battles, really good to see them. :)

My daughter is 11 and has started to really get into gaming (finally  :) ). We've played a few games of Frostgrave in the past but I determined that this was the summer when we were going to turn up the difficulty level. We created wizards and war bands and commenced the campaign in the main rule book. First game was the Mausoleum scenario (one of my favorites) and she did great, playing the objectives and really thinking through her moves and the spells she was going to cast. We ended up tied with three treasures apiece and then had fun rolling on the treasure table and figuring out what loot we managed to grab.

Played the Silent Tower for our second game and it was fantastic! We each grabbed two easy treasures early and then fought it out for the central treasure. The central treasure changed hands three times before she was able to leap her soldier off the board for the win. Things got even more complicated (also fun) with mummies, zombies and skellies popping out of the all the buildings each turn.

Still really love Frostgrave. I've never had a bad game and the kiddo is picking it up quick, only having one D20 to worry about is helpful. She really enjoys building up her war band and leveling up her wizard. Hoping to bang out a few more games next week.
