Lots of games at Huzzah this past weekend, last one was Sunday morning, big battle DBA2.2+. Thutmose III successfully put down the Great Syrian Revolt in regnal year 42. The Egyptian army had marched up the coast, bypassing the Kadesh garrison that had been bolstered with Mitanni troops. Thutmose cut inland, sacked Tunip, and then marched southwards down the Orontes valley coming to the outer suberbs of Kadesh where they meet Mitanni garrison joined by Syrian armies and nomadic allies.
The battle hung in balance with both the Syrian right wing collapsing, and on the other side of the line the Egyptian right wing collapsing under a flank maneuver by the nomads.
But the battle's not over til the Egyptian archers sing — and they began singing as they finally started to come into range with the Mittani chariotry that had been held in the center!
