A fitting end to a most excellent battle report.
Exciting to the very end.
You should make a movie about it. lol

May I ask, where your big rock formations came from?

I can't tell you exactly where I got them from (it was a bit ago), but they are terrarium rocks that I got from an online terrarium/aquarium supplier. How you see them is exactly how they come, no painting necessary. I have seen other LAFers using them so I think they may be widely available, not just from one source. There were only the two types shown available in that style when I bought them, so your rocks might start to look a little monotonous if you want lots of them. There might be more like them around, though. I wouldn't mind a few more myself, as they do look pretty nice.

Indeed they were. I had thought The Sword and The Flame wasn't really for me previously, but Mad Guru's battle report made me think I might like them after all. Seems I was right.

Good to see a Plynkes AAR again. I always enjoyed them very much and even used one or two at the club.
Does this mean we can also expect another funny Plynkes and Sickly travel report in the future :)

Sadly, no. He's too big to go on trips with his uncle these days. He goes on ones with his girlfriend instead. :)

Great AAR and to see you back in the game!  :-* :-* I love the rocky terrain and the burning markers. Just great story telling and a pleasure all away around!

He's back!

Glorious report.

Interesting take on the rules too.

Sorry to confess I too have had a copy of TSaTF mouldering on a shelf for 20 years. Never played it. Maybe it's time I finally gave them a go...  :)

Plynkes,

Thanks for the reply about the rocks.

Will look around the net to see what I find.

If have any luck, will report back to the forum.

Them that figures be painted and they be gettin' pushed around in a game.  That means they are way better than good enough!

Love to see those gor-gee-us giraffes again.  And an ostrich.  Makes my bestial quirkiness quite happy.  Oh, and casualties, too.  Top drawer stuff.  Well, as long as you don't keep your undies in that drawer.    ::)

Wow, excellent Battle Report, Plynkes!

I'm very happy my recent AAR played a part in encouraging you to play this fantastic game of TSATF!  Also, like someone else mentioned already, I LOVE your FLAME MARKERS!

Really hope to see a follow-up game, perhaps with the Germans dispatched to reclaim their purloined/liberated machine-gun from the old chief's kraal...?
