BEF Miniatures bits‏
« on: 26 March 2009, 07:46:12 PM »
Hi Guys,

I've copied and paste Chrouchie's message from Artizan's Yahoo Group:
Quote: "I hope Mike doesn't mind, but as he is the sculptor for a new range of BEF and Early War germans for me, I would like to announce that the Matilda I kit will be available at Salute. No figures yet, as Mike has had a bad dose of the flu, and was also under the impression that Salute was at the end of April :-)
There will also be the opportunity to buy the few remaining World War Two metal kits that were Chieftain Models with crews from Mike, before JTFM and Company B go into full production with them in the US and Canada.
Artizan figures will feature on the Deal Wargames game- Sicily 1943.
Mike thinks this is about an invasion of some islands off the tip of Cornwall, and we aren't going to tell him any different.

Crouchie
BEF Miniatures" unquote
Best wishes,
Helen

I saw Mike Broadbent just last week. He looked in perfectly rude health to me and he's even ditched the mo. Hope I haven't blown his cover.  :(

Carlos, are you talking about Mike Owen as Michael Broadbent has never had a mo since I've known him over the past four years.

Lovely sculpt indeed and a very nice paint job, right down to the kidney shaped splotch of anti-gas paint on the bow.

I suppose it's beyond the realm of feasability that someone would consider Light Tanks Marks I or MkII. They did see some service in 1940/41 albeit in Egypt but I'd really like some for the North West Frontier in the mid thirties. Only British tank to see action in India between the wars, must have some Pulp/BoB potential and they are just so damn cute. Who could resist a two man tank with a chap in a bombay bowler peering out of the hatch?
