Very inspiring! I am going to be building 3 small tables for a convention in March and this is just the sort of thing I want to see when I come here. :D

Pulp at its finest there. Always a fan of placing buildings diagonally on a squire table as well.

Wonderful stuff all around, and a great story with great execution!

"In my opinion the only way that you are ever going to have a successful convention game is if you have great players..."

This is so true...luckily I've only had one game so far where I had a couple of dud players! Great players = Great fun! One of the
challenges of GMing is to keep things moving and to keep things fun, but great players make that job easy. I was blessed at Origins to have four first-first rate chaps, and it was truly a joy!  ;D

"In talking with Francisco a few days later during the convention about the game he suggested going back to how Pulp Alley actually does the initiative, as it will add a whole different dimension to the game. I think he is absolutely correct and it's a great idea for next time. Maybe I'll even use a prop, a red hat like Carter wears perhaps, to help everyone know who has control of initiative."

Absolutely agree with your conclusion. The Pulp Alley initiative system is one of the features that makes these rules so special...and personally I have always disliked random initiative. And initiative markers add a great touch to the game--highly recommended! I've been known to prowl through antique shops and craft stores looking for that perfect initiative marker...and don't forget eBay!  :D

I was talking aloud to myself. A habit of the old: they choose the wisest person present to speak to; the long explanations needed by the young are wearying.

Again, much thanks everyone  :D
Agreed with everything you've said Oabee! I'd never run Pulp Alley with more than 4 players before and never in a convention setting, so I tried to make it as simple as possible and I think I probably made a mistake - trust in Phipps  lol

Lovely.    The standards for Pulp terrain are very high, and your table proves it.

I really like that Agent Carter hat for Initiative. Here's a little something I picked up recently to use for Initiative... "ACTION!!! ... "   lol
