HMLS Sentinel – final walk

The empires favorite, HMLS Sentinel, known fondly as Peggy, takes her final walk to defend Queen Victoria’s empire.

Peggy, now obsolete due to the rapid advances in lift technology, was once the pride of Victoria’s armed forces dominating the battlefield and crushing her enemies under foot.

Her exposed machinery and lack of underside defense made her vulnerable to air and ground attack and as a result required her to have an escort when in the field.

Details of her final tour of duty have not been disclosed as yet but there is no doubt where ever she goes she will smite Victoria’s enemies from the field of battle.

Now that's the ticket sir! Let Her Most Gracious Majesty's foes tremble with fear at just the appearance of the HMLS Sentinal, champion work!

Wonderfully detailed walker, I especially like the exposed machinery. Do you have WIP pictures?

Few of the various 'technological terrors' can do well in all situations; other forms of support are vital.

No 'nef can hold ground. And few can carry sufficient troops to do so.

I dare say, with a few additions, oh, say, a few Smutts Dischargers, and a full compliment of Patent Aerial Torpedoes, 'Peggy' could spread plenty of terror of her own!

Yes, I like so much I'm willing to leap to its defense.  :-*

Thanks for all the comments

Do you have WIP pictures?

Sorry - I'm not that organised and my design / build / re design / re build process would bore you all to tears as it frustrates the hell out of me. >:(

Strangely the final model looks just like my initial sketch - perhaps that is a lesson for me !!!

It's the legs that almost finished me - making ten, each with three pistons and a hundred rivets and getting them all aligned - I must admit the language was un printable

Oh how I envied Mr Bibbly's legs - laser cutters are for wimps!!!  lol

Sir, you have inspired me to attempt my own such beast.

Go for it and good luck - don't forget the photos

I could have sworn those legs were pulled from something else. Proving I should have clicked on the images right away. No idea the detail!

Does remind me a bit of old Superior/Alnavco space fleets. OH, so much detail... On the bottom, where it's almost wasted.  lol

I'll try to pester VSFGamer for those images. Randy, always worth it!
