Pocoloco's SW:A / p2 Wolfpack and Ork plane in the making
« on: August 27, 2017, 10:16:09 PM »
Hiyas,

long time no see etc. Being busy on other fronts but have managed to build something... and got some undercoating done as well. I too have jumped the GW's Shadow War: Armageddon (SW:A) bandwagon and now eagerly waiting for the launch of Necromunda later this year.

I have mainly been  doing terrain. I have small terrain board, 60cm by 60cm so it will be hopefully crowded enough with terrain soon enough. Plan is to make maybe one to three more boards, at least one more 60cm x 60cm and then perhaps two 30cmx60cm so that could give me nice variety on board sizes for skirmish type of playing. Terrain wise the boards will be pretty flat for ease of storage and terrain features will be moveable for greater variety of set-ups available.

So far the terrain has been industrial as can be seen from the collage of pics below:

Then there are of course some vehicles, small (see next pic) and large inbound and work in progress:

I have megalomaniac plans for several kill teams - two inquisition, one ork, one Sisters of Battle, one Khorne, one AdMech, two Imperial Guard (yes, for me they'll always be IG :D) and two Scout Marines (one Lead Legion and the other Space Wolf Scouts). Only one IG kill team, consisting of Elysians, is ready for play, others are  wip or just formulating in my head :D.

First pic of Welan Warg, Wolf Scout Sergeant, wip, need to clean mold lines etc:

In the last pic, Inquisitor Lady Simona Hayha of House Ufini (Greyfax conversion):

C&C and moral support more than welcome, thanks for watching.

Nice work! I see that you used the ICM airfield plates from your other project. Looking good.

Looking very good! Can't wait to see how this goes.

It actually reminds me of John Blanches table. Nice tightly packed terrain in a small area with lots of vertical movement.

Many thanks for the feedback gents :)

@Predatorp: Yes, good spotting there! i was seriously considering using the plain Zone Mortals boards from Forgeworld but realised that it's so much cheaper to use the ICM stuff and use the saved money for minis and GW's industrial scenery :D

@nic-e: Hopefully I can show more. Seen the pics of J. Blanche's board and train, it's very moody and properly sinister. I'll keep my buildings vegetation free, even though these represent abandoned/derelict stuctures, so far machine spirit has been stronger than nature :D

@Vanvlak: cheers mate! Glad you like the scout sergeant, some more in the making and one new one is shown in this post, see below ;)

@Ultravanillasmurf: Thanks! Vostroyan vibes and she will be accompanied by Vostroyan snipers and other suitably themed minis even though in my fluff they are not from Vostroya but other, similar yet way smaller system :)

@Suber: Many thanks good Sir :)

@Vanvlak: sorry to disappoint you but there won't be a full squad, but i hope you are happy with a hunting pack of six Wolf Scouts nevertheless? ;)

Of which, two new members pictured below :) Still plasma gunner and basic trooper to do, then the dreaded clean up for all of them before trying to splash some paint... Oh, and maybe add some SW related trinkets as well.

I am not sure if I go for classic SW grey or perhaps a camp would suit them, I have this classic WD image in mind where SW are ambushing Ork vehicles. So maybe something in that vein but a city camo of some sort would be in place?

A sort of grey on grey on grey urban camouflage?

Your images above are not displaying (corrected thanks).

Sorry about that, now the images should be visible.

Yes, grey on grey, maybe with sharp angular patterns...

Thank you. Yes, that's the new bolt gun and its scout version. I just added the flash suppressor from AM kit to it. And did the same with the bolt pistol of the pack's fifth member, pics below:

Consider this idea stolen, all my stunty marines are now space marine scouts lol

Hehe  lol An excellent idea :) You could call them Wolf Pups ;)

These are actually done using Primaris Reiver bodies and Space Wolves parts (heads, some weapons, backpacks etc) so they stand tall next to any man or marine, primaris or not :D
