Plasticard in brown?

Does anyone know of a source that sells plasticard and/or strips in a chocolade brown colour? 1mm thickness would do just fine.

I'll be using plasticard for some terrain pieces which will feature movable shoji doors, and I fear that using painted white plastic will lose its paint pretty quickly through wear, leaving unsightly white on the surfaces.

Of course I could use black plasticard (I have plenty of that), but since the moving parts will all have to look like wood, a (dark) brown would be preferable (same wear of course, but no odd colors poking through after a while).

And before anyone sugggests using wood; I'll be using wood for the general construction, but for such small, precise (moving) parts, I'd rather work with plastic, as glue bonds will be stronger, and there is no grain to interfere with cuts. Also, for such delicate parts, plastic is just stronger (at least; in my experience... ).

However, what I would suggest is keep your eye open when in the supermarket (or anywhere else) in case some product packaging includes brown plastic.
Or do you have nay kit model sprues left over that have been molded in brown?
If so put them in a small glass jar with a good amount of liquid poly and let it melt it down. Then poor the sludge out onto a metal sheet and put it outside and allow the liquid poly to evaporate.
Voila!
A sheet of brown plastic.

Difficult, unhealthy and unorthodox, but workable; I like it.   If nothing else pops up, I'll just try that...

Search the net for DIY PVC staining. A couple of years ago I mixed a brown from a couple of pvc glues (do outdoors only!) that worked well on plasticard as well.

Warning - experiment on scrap, make sure glues are compatible. We didn't have any grand calamities but the possibility was definitely lurking in our minds.

The only brown I've seen has been floorboards. You could try model railway sites, they might have some

How often are you going to be opening the door and how tight is the fitting? If it's infrequent or if the fitting has a little bit of wiggle room than you'll probably be fine.

Have you considered using some thin wood veneer either as your material or as a surface for the plasticard?
Even a strip of stained 0.5mm balsa would do the trick
