Breakout! A Rommel Scenario
« on: 10 September 2017, 04:18:53 AM »
Just got this going.  I wanted to show how the labeling and grid/map has evolved already.

Looks attractive.  Are your labels glued on?

Labels are printed out with my laser printer, glued onto magnetized material, cut out, and then stuck to the sheet metal backing on each of my stands.

Clever, instructive and inspiring! Thank you!
Great game you had there! Beautiful stands!
I also like the playing mat!

Good stuff.

Do you just have the steel on the back of the bases, or is it on the bottom as well, and bent round at the rear too?

Hi Fred,
The stainless steel strip is just on the back.  I also have flexible steel material.  That goes on the bottom for storage.  I didn't use stainless on the bottom for logistical reasons, and I didn't use flexible steel on the back because magnets that small don't hang on well enough.  Normally I would have taken time to straighten the magnets, but I set this game up in a bit of a hurry.  I suppose for the pictures I should have straightened them.      ::)

Where do you get the steel strip from?

I've used the flex steel paper - in the reverse to you, I put it in the box files or plastic boxes, then put magnetic sheet on the figures.
