Fabled Unar escaped the Deluge through ancient sorceries that tore the city free from space and time, but adventurers across the ages have sometimes found ways to reach the last outpost of lost Lemuria.  In doing so, they must brave guardians such as Zera, a beastmistress who commands not only antediluvian creatures unknown in the modern world but chimerical creations of Unar's fleshcrafting laboratories.



Eclectic mix of metal and Bones plastic models from Reaper - "Zera" is sold as Yanara on their website if you're looking.



Think they work nicely for pulp adventure gaming, although they also fit fantasy and weird horror settings.



I presume Zera's on all the same facebook groups as Marcus from Malifaux.



Maybe they used to date?



If so, they probably broke up over the way he mistreats his jackalopes.



Or maybe he made an unwise crack about how she's obviously had some fleshcrafting work done on her, um, assets.

Lovely work there, too.  

It took me a while to decide what to use her as, actually.  I've got a couple of snake cult projects that she would have fit in, and I debated about getting some Wargods stuff from Crocodile for an Egyptian theme, and I even considered doing the necromancer thing, albeit with spectral types rather than skellies.  The latter was foiled by an inability to find another cheap box of GW's spirit host figs.  Maybe someday.  She's certainly a versatile model, albeit faintly ridiculous.  I prefer my cheesecake a bit more...restrained?  Plausible?  Something like that.

Thanks!  As you may have suspected, those serpent cult projects I mentioned involve some of your own figs.  I may get another one of Zera/Yanara/Miss February there to bundle with 'em - the rock she's posing on has a serpentine S on it, after all, and that new Bones snake by Guthrie is way to good to only do once.
