Copplestone and Crucible Crush Chinese bandits
« on: 13 September 2017, 12:34:14 PM »
I want to add to my Copplestone Chinese bandit band for more variety and was wondering how well the Crucible Crush Yangzee Gangs match them for height and proportion. Yes, I know humans come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but I try to avoid putting figures that obviously come from different manufacturers together on the table because I am a sensitive chap and it jars!

I am sure this is well trodden ground for the old BoB hands out there, and it would be much appreciated if someone could post a photo of the two makes together for comparison.

Many thanks.

I hadn't heard of Crucible Crush miniatures, but it looks like their Chinese are actually the close out of Bob Murch's old pulp Chinese.  I don't have any in my collection, but I've heard they mix fine (here's a link with some: http://www.backofbeyond.de/?p=1021)

Thanks Chris.  They are indeed the ex-Pulp range figures and the photo link is very helpful.

The Pulp figures & Copplestone figures mix very well. I have quite a few of both in my collections. They a nearly the same height & both have about the same build. Once they are painted & based you can hardly tell which ones are which.

According to his site Bob Murch is remodelling his Yangtze Range of Chinese and American sailors - so new models will be available.
