Thanks, everyone! Yes, ECW or TYW troops should fit the bill. There's a decent amount of period artwork out there. The book's author recommends keeping the colors muted -- those New Englanders could be dour in their color choices... lol

Zippy, did you enter the ONESHIP code in the discount section? I should have reminded everyone about that. There's always a coupon code for Lulu. If it has not shipped yet, I would telephone them. Perhaps they'll make an adjustment. I have found Lulu personnel on the phone to be very accommodating.

I imagine these scenarios would translate easily into Musket & Tomahawk?

Just played that recently and that seems a fast easy set of rules for our crew.

Hello.
They have wonderful figures for the early period of North America.

Although Muskets & Tomahawks is a "larger" scale, or unit, game, you could easily take the terrain, scenario objectives, and so on to upscale the OOB to match. Song of Drums and Tomahawks is a man-to-man scale game. However, as long as you have a good handle on the balance aspect of your rules you should be fine.

I own a few packs of the Crucible Crush figs and they do paint up wonderfully. Speaking of which, here is one of my favorite photos of them:

Thanks for the comments!

Mike, great painting on those. Who makes the women folk in your picture?

Thank you, sir! Those are Old Glory 25mm figs from their Plains Indian line, actually. My friend Mike S (author of the Pequot War book) split a big bag of them. Here's the link:

And some more pics of the women and children...
