I attended this show (guess that makes me a reject!) and I'd agree numbers did seem a bit down on April. Still, size isn't everything and I did do well on the acquisition front.
The games seemed a lot better in your blog than in real life... maybe it was the floor tiles, or much more likely my dodgy eyesight. It's hard to enthuse about periods you aren't particularly interested in - but the model making was good and the presentation overall was easy on the eye. Certainly better than I can come up with atm.
I tend to be a real wallflower with these sort of events, not so much an active participant, more like a stalker
... so I was in and out in an hour. Got a lot of goodies though - thank you traders!
I managed to get a box of HYW English at a good discount, and some GW LOTR metal minis, some Galadhrim sufficient finally to complete a decent sized unit (yay), a Mordor siege bow and some Dunlendings... all good troop recruitments for my Westerosi and Middle Earth campaigns.
The best acquisition was a coupla packs of limestone chips from Debris of War... I'd been looking for some time now for course stones/pebbles etc. for basing to supplement my rapidly dwindling supply...
All in all I'd recommend this show to anyone in the S London area to pick up a few good bargains on a sleepy Sunday.
