Had our first go with
'Fistful of Lead:- Horse and Musket' today. We had a bunch of Voltijoors searching for Marshal Ney's lost treasure chest, some gaudily plumed Spanish light Infantrymen who'd got wind of the loot in a local tavern, and a section of 95th Rifles out and about looking for trouble.
I was pleasantly surprised how the good Baron's little tweaks to his rules make it a tad different from his Wild West rules. We tended to let fly, much as we do in the western gunfights, and quickly had a load of blokes standing about reloading. This makes having a
'free reload' or
'wild ace' card pretty handy! Kind of got me thinking that musket armed mountain men agin bow armed (they can shoot every move) Redskins might be a damned sight closer contest than you'd think!
