Early war French in 20mm
« on: 11 October 2017, 06:08:52 PM »
Guys I have decided to dust off my French early war army after something like 20 years. Also thought I might add to it. Apart from EWM and IT can anybody tell me who else makes these figures?

Blitz Miniatures:

If I wasn't doing God's Own 28mm Scale using Crusader Minis kick ass range (Fusiliers, GRDI and cycles, and Dragons Portes), I'd be all over these. The packs lend themselves really well to putting together squads and platoons too.

For GRDI, these are really nice:

I concur with the answer above.
Blitz & CP would give you almost everything you need.
I´ve also mixed in some Caesar plastic infantry and FAA.

There is an old range on the tip of my old brain...Raventhorpe that's it. Don't know where they might be available from nowadays though.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

in 20mm i only know EWM, they produce an Indian ( mostly used after Dunkirk ) , a Terrot and a G&R side cars, and a Peugeot solo motorcycle .

Most of the Fusiliers Motocyclistes units ( GRDI-GRCA, Recce regiments ( in fact Armoured cars Regiments ) of the Cavalry Divisions ) and motorcycle squadrons of the dragons portés régiments ) were issued side cars, so you can use the Terrot or the G&R AX2 . After Dunkirk, the Indian side car was used to recreate units who had lost their vehicles .
Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

Reverisco (Tin Soldier) has several variants of the Laffley vehicle used by the Dragonportes ,  I have had these models in the past and they are great, but they are 1/72 not 1/76

Hi,

SHQ do some too and they're nice and compatible with the others.

I've got loads of FAA and Blitz too and must have a game with them one day soon.

Cheers,

Paul
