Nice report & nicely done armies.

Your not the first to use the words 'nail biter' when describing how SnS feels. Clearly the activation system works as game design. Then again you're not the first to describe the game a little bit counter intuitive regarding some key rules - here impact. Interesting.  :)

Sounds exciting and as if the rules did a good job of capturing chaos of battle. It sounded as if, after that first heavy chariot charge, the game was in the bag for the Hittites then BAM, a couple of dice rolls and a skirmishing routing at the wrong time, breaking the whole army... Sounds like an intense and fun game for both sides.
You go to war with the figures you have, not the figures you wish you had!
